We were honoured to once again welcome international delegates of PIPOC 2025 to PPPTAR, proudly selected by MPOB as one of the key showcase centres for oil palm plantation excellence.
A total of 29 delegates from across the globe participated in this informative and engaging visit, featuring the best of our R&D initiatives and mechanisation technologies. The delegates were warmly received by our Deputy Head of PPPTAR along with the management team.
Tour Highlights
The visit included a comprehensive tour of several facilities:
- Analytical & METEC Laboratories
- Plant House — showcasing activities at the Seed Production Unit
- Lysimeter Area — featuring:
- Briefing on various oil palm bunch varieties
- Introduction to the Lysimeter
- Role of the barn owl in plantation ecosystems
- Geotagger technology
- Demonstration of “Sembur Tani” and “Tabur Tani” mechanisation
Strengthening Global Collaboration
This engagement served as a valuable platform to promote knowledge-sharing and foster international collaboration, while enhancing global appreciation of Malaysia’s leadership in sustainable oil palm development.
