Oil Palm Seeds
YANGAMBI 3 WAY
The newest DxP FGV variety, a result of long breeding scheme and was released in 2008.
The variety comes from 3 breeding lines. The Dura line is a result of introgression of Dura Nigerian (MPOB) and Dura Deli Group. And the pisifera line comes from Yangambi ML161 family.
The advantages of Yangambi 3 Way is the small bunches with high number of bunches per year and the high yield (CPO and kernel). Yangambi 3 Way is recommended for high-density planting of 148 palms / ha to 160 palms/ha.

BARE ROOTED (4 MONTHS)
Oil palm cloning exploits genetic variabilities within a cross to derive high-yielding planting materials.
We generate oil palm clones from the best individuals from the best crosses. Ortet selection is based on the most stringent criteria in which the ortets must have oil to bunch ratio (0/B) greater than 32% and high bunch number.
Tissue cultured plantlets (ramets) produced by us exhibit vigorous and uniform growth with very low somacional abnormalities (0-5%). It also produces high extraction rate with average over 30% more oil per hectare than the commercial DxP materials.
Our ramets are also able to sustain high yields with the first 12 years of harvesting, and these clones have out yielded DxP by 20% and 8% in terms of oil and FFB yield respectively.

BAMBOO SEEDLING (POLY BAG)
Tissue culture is the most suitable technique for mass propagation of bamboo seedling for large scale commercial planting.
FGV Innovation Center at Enstek Negeri Sembilan has successfully produced several bamboo seedlings including Dendrocalamus asper species (buluh betong) which is the most sought after by the industry.

BANANA SEEDLING
FGVAS involved in banana clonal production since 2006 through our FGV Innovation Centre. Source of explant are local variety from germplasm area.
Banana clonal are more uniform compare to suckers materials. Selection criteria for mother plants are bunch weight >20kg and free from disease, Fusarium Wilt.

All of our 2,198 pandan coconut mother palms have been certified by Department of Agriculture under the Scheme of Planting Material Validation (SPBT)
