INTRODUCTION

The training program under FGVAS is an initiative by a technical expansion unit under the Agronomic Services Department of FGVAS. The purpose is to give exposure to either old or new technology on oil palm and to improve the

knowledge in regards to oil palm management. Besides oil palm management, we also conduct training and courses on 5S management and Innovative Creative Circle (ICC) to ensure effective working environment.

Objectives

To train and improve knowledge regarding sustainable oil palm management

To produce skilled and knowledgeable estate personnel especially in terms of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) application

To introduce and educate the knowledge of pests in oil palm as well as in the integrated pests management

To train laboratory personnel in order to be able in identifying precise instruments and method to be used for analyzing fertilizer, water and palm oil

To create an organized working environment and continuous improvement

Target Group

Small holders that involved in the oil palm industry

Laboratory personnel that involved in analyzing fertilizer, water and palm oil

Office management that need to undergo 5S program and audit

A group that is interested in ICC and preparing for competition either internally or international

OUR TRAINING MODULES

BASIC MODULE

Our Basic Module Training has a total of 4 courses that can be selected as interest. Courses like Oil Palm Nursery Management and Immature Oil Palm Management are they key highlights in this module. Nevertheless all of the courses offered include practical training with varying duration.
